Adds a "Mask" button inside claude.ai, chatgpt.com and gemini. Requires site access.
By default PII is masked as opaque ⟦TYPE_N⟧ tokens. Turn this on to replace it with format-valid fakes (names, IDs, emails, phones, addresses) instead.
Surrogates look real. If you forget to unmask before sharing, the document will read as legitimate; nothing self-announces as masked.
Reads image-only PDFs. Slow; needs bundled language data.
Names / orgs / places only. "More" catches more (fewer leaks); "Precise" is stricter. Structured IDs are unaffected.
Which national-ID formats to detect. Email, IBAN, cards, phones and secrets are always detected. Leave all unchecked to auto-detect from your browser language.
Route masking to the Velum Desktop app's stronger engine (GLiNER), running locally. Requires the Desktop app. Stays on your machine — loopback only.
All processing is local. The extension makes no internet requests; the optional Desktop engine talks only to a server on your own machine.
